Hi! Thanks for stopping by to look at my projects.
Autobiography: I was born in Bombay (Mumbai), India, and was educated at the Cathedral and John Connon School. I came to England with my family when I was 12 years old and the United Kingdom has been been my main country of domicile since then.
My secondary education was at Holland Park School, Kensington and I am very proud to have been among the first students to be admitted to that school when it was first opened.
I went to Sussex University to read English in the School of European Studies and duly graduated with an Honours Degree in 1967, the year in which I also got married.
My husband and I and our sons lived in Zambia, Africa for five years. In fact, our second son was born there. We returned to England in 1977.
I have absorbed artistic influences from all over the world; from my childhood in India, from living in Africa, from visiting countries such as Turkey (where my father was born), Thailand, the Philippines, Egypt, Tunisia and, of course, European countries too, notably France, Itlay and Germany. All branches of art are grist to my mill - all give me equal joy. Textiles, ceramics, paintings, stained glass, sculpture - it is all full of wonder and enjoyment.
